Most women don’t go out hunting for a “lucky” piece of clothing before an upcoming event. But once the item has been worn and things go well, the item takes on a life of its own because it’s associated with the good things that happened the last time it was worn. My goal in designing the Power Tunic was to create something that would give women the feeling they get from their “lucky” items – even before putting on the tunic for the first time.
As much as I love color, there are times when working with only black and white can be a relief. The absence of color makes the design elements even more important. |
Black and white are understood in every culture. Together they can represent confidence, and class. The color black is often associated with power and authority, while white is associated with purity, and peace. Power is obtained by a graceful balance of the two colors and what they represent. This free flowing print combines big bold stripes and organic curves. The yin/yang balance between the two is what this print is about. When paired with jeans, a pencil skirt, or leggings, this print provides a classy look for anyone who wants to feel powerful, lucky, and comfortable at the same time.
